Knowledge Assets

Knowledge Assets involve identifying knowledge artifacts, their sources and understanding where the knowledge can be leveraged to increase innovation, quality, and productivity. Building capabilities that enable us to capture and transfer knowledge between our consultants and across industries is at the heart our value proposition.

SEI understands the value we bring to our clients is the knowledge and experience of our senior level consultants. We quickly realized that we could significantly increase that value if the client was able to benefit from the vast experience of all our consultants. SEI’s EPICenter is focused on delivering this value proposition.

  • At the core of our EPICenter is the intellectual capital (IC) or knowledge SEI has identified as important to capture (Project Experience, Skills, Methods & Approaches, etc.) – Which is key first step to any knowledge management effort.
  • Building out from there is the set of tools we use to collect, manage, and organize this IC or knowledge. (Doc Repository, Forums, Wikis, Project Portfolio, SEI Toolbar)
  • To facilitate developing, sharing, leveraging these IC components / knowledge we have created various business practices/processes (Practice Area initiatives, Information Exchanges, Client interactions, and consulting engagements).
  • Finally, our goal is to leverage and capitalize on these tools and practices in all aspects of our business (Consultant Delivery, Business Development, and Recruiting)

SEI has developed a culture where collaboration and knowledge sharing is valued and rewarded. We have invested in the EPICenter to further the support our Knowledge Asset program. EPIC is at the core of our business (Excellence, Participation, Integrity, and Collaboration)!!

SEI also recognizes the importance of knowledge of key technologies. Because of this, we invest time and resources into partner programs with key technology vendors, Technology Partnerships. This provides our consultants with additional knowledge assets upon which they can rely.
